Our beginner/advanced beginner & Intermediate camp is for enthusiastic children whom have had no experience, limited experience and some riding experience.
We will cover a range activities that will allow them to gain experience on horses, around horses, improve their level of equine knowledge and build on their riding skills. All you need to know to start your journey onto having your own pony or just for fun.
When applying please list which course number you want to enroll for. Students need to attend both days to enroll in each course.

We have a healthy student to instructor ratio. All students are supervised and taught in a professional environment to provide the best quality experience. Ages from 6 years to teenagers. Own ponies welcome. Gift cards available
Booking is confirmed once we have received payment. No refunds will be given unless you can provide a recent medical certificate for a 50% refund

PONY CAMP 2026
Looking for something to do over the summer holidays? Bring your pony to camp!
We cover a range activities that will allow riders to gain more confidence & experience with 2 structured lessons per day (flat work and jumping), to build on their riding skills and improve their level of equine knowledge. Riding lessons will be arranged into small suitable groups to maximize learning. Amongst that we have a range of fun activities that will challenge the riders and horses as we aim to provide a well-rounded, fun, educational holiday experience in a safe professional environment.
Off the horses we have just as much fun learning new skills. We sleepover here and spend the night playing games.
If you’re looking to boost confidence, work on training for the season, or just want to have fun & spend 3 days with your pony and some cool people, this is the course for you!!
Camp is held at the Bartley Riding Academy in Whitford, Auckland. We have a full complex including the indoor and outdoor arenas, safe yarding and stables with professional coaching with Jess Trow and Karren Bartley. We always have such a blast hosting these programmes and love to meet new combinations.
All new combinations will receive a ‘ Team Bartley’ T shirt as a keepsake to remember the amazing time they had with us!
Ponies will be grazed individually in overnight yards or small paddocks. Feed and hay provided by the owner.
Sleep over will be on the Tuesday night – dinner provided
If you do not have your own pony, we have a limited amount of school horses available depending on your level of experience and what we have available.

Our facility is designed to support riders, trainers and visiting clinics with practical spaces for both horses and people. Alongside the indoor arena, Bartley Riding Academy offers a range of supporting facilities including covered tie-ups, outdoor yards, stables and overnight paddocks for group and clinic hire.
On-site amenities such as toilets and a kitchen area are available, and we aim to be as flexible as possible to accommodate the needs of individual riders and organised groups.
